Awesome instructors who are firm and clear with expectations but remain kind and encouraging, without using any degrading sarcasm toward the kids.

This school is the best, we commute all the way from Helotes to Rogers Ranch just because of the AMAZING instructors at KJMS. My son is learning about discipline, character and focus.

Signing my kids up for KJMS has been one of the best decisions I've made for my kids! They're consistently learning discipline, focus and self defense. I absolutely love the instructors and the community of this place!

Our four year old son has only attended two classes and he already won't stop talking about how much he loved it and how he can't wait to go back!

Kung Jung Mu Sul here at Rogers Ranch is, by far, the best Martial Arts school I've ever attended. I felt welcomed here from the first time I called, to my first visit, and even now as a student. The instructor, Aaron, has a coaching philosophy more akin to that of a mentor.

Why KJMS Rogers Ranch

More than a martial arts class.
A mentorship in discipline, focus and character.

Most students walk in never having thrown a kick. Classes stay small and personal, ‘I love that the classes are not too crowded,’ one parent told us, so Mr. Aaron and his team can actually coach every student, not just supervise a room.

Mentorship, not just coaching

Mentorship, not just coaching

Mr. Aaron Delagarza's philosophy is mentorship over coaching. Reviewers describe him balancing fun and discipline while keeping students motivated, never with degrading sarcasm.

Character built into every class

Character built into every class

Discipline, focus, confidence and leadership are woven into the curriculum itself, not an add-on to the kicks and punches.

A welcoming, non-crowded community

Classes stay small enough that no student gets lost in the room, and families say they felt welcomed from the first time they called.

Kung Jung Mu Sul, explained

Never heard of it? Here is what the art is, and what your child (or you) actually learns.

  • A royal Korean martial art

Kung Jung Mu Sul traces to Korea's royal-court martial tradition, taught in San Antonio by Mr. Aaron Delagarza, who has trained since age 7 and studied directly with Grand Master Soon Tae Yang at World KJMS HQ.

  • Character first, technique second

Every class blends self-defense, striking and joint-lock and grappling technique with a life-skills curriculum: discipline, focus, confidence and leadership.

  • Belt by belt, tested and earned

Students test and promote through a structured belt system. Families gather to watch, and every promotion is genuinely celebrated.

  • Self-defense for every age

From four-year-old Tigers to adults, every student learns real self-defense alongside the focus, confidence and discipline that carry into daily life.

Member story

From nervous to confident

One KJMS parent, Kelli, described her daughter as having struggled with confidence issues and nervousness before starting.

Classes stay small and personal, ‘I love that the classes are not too crowded,’ another parent told us, so instructors can actually coach every student.

This is the most amazing environment! Our daughter has so much confidence after training here for a few month. Also I love that the classes are not to crowded.

Mr. Aaron Delagarza

Training in Kung Jung Mu Sul and Tae Kwon Do since age 7

Mr. Aaron Delagarza started training in Kung Jung Mu Sul and Tae Kwon Do at age 7, right here in San Antonio. He went on to lead the original San Antonio branch of KJMS Texas, training 300+ students a week, and studied directly under Grand Master Soon Tae Yang at World KJMS HQ, later teaching KJMS in South Korea and across the US as a curriculum consultant.

Before returning to his roots, Aaron spent time in a corporate leadership role, training and leading teams at a global technology company. That experience shaped how he coaches today: as a father himself, he's learned to be motivating and supportive at once. He calls himself "a true product of the product," and believes in the value of martial arts training through childhood and beyond.

A true product of the product.
